Inspecting and cleaning the Transceiver Unit

To ensure long and trouble-free operation, the Transceiver Unit must be inspected and cleaned at regular intervals.

No special tools are required for this task. You will however need a commercially available mild detergent and a lint free cloth.

Procedure

  • Note:

Do not open the unit. There are no serviceable parts inside. High voltages are used. You may be exposed to electric shock.

    1. Make sure that the Transceiver Unit is kept clean and dry.
    2. Make sure that the unit is not exposed to excessive dust and vibrations.
    3. Check for physical damage to the cabinet and/or the cables.
    4. Remove dust and salt water residue with a soft cloth moistened in fresh water. Use a mild detergent.
      Note:

      Do not use strong solvents.
