Inspecting and cleaning the Transceiver Unit
To ensure long and trouble-free operation, the Transceiver Unit must be inspected and cleaned at regular intervals.
No special tools are required for this task. You will however need a commercially available mild detergent and a lint free cloth.
Procedure
Note:
Do not open the unit. There are no serviceable parts inside. High voltages are used. You may be exposed to electric shock.
- Make sure that the Transceiver Unit is kept clean and dry.
- Make sure that the unit is not exposed to excessive dust and vibrations.
- Check for physical damage to the cabinet and/or the cables.
- Remove dust and salt water residue with a soft cloth
moistened in fresh water. Use a mild detergent.Note:
Do not use strong solvents.
