Removing the operating software
If you wish to replace your Processor Unit with a new model, or simply do not wish to use the ST90 system any longer, you can remove the software. Software removal may also be required during an upgrade.
The following items may be useful:
- Computer mouse
- Computer keyboard
Neither tools nor instruments are required. This procedure is made for the Microsoft® Windows® 10 operating system. It is assumed that you are familiar with this operating system.

The software release note may contain additional details related to the software removal.
Removal of the software is done using functionality provided by the operating system.
Procedure
- Turn on the Processor Unit.
- Select Power off to turn off the system.
- In the Power Off dialog box, select Exit to Operating System to close the ST90 program.
- If applicable: Connect the keyboard and the mouse to USB sockets on the Processor Unit.
- Uninstall the application.
- If applicable: Open the on-screen keyboard.
- In the bottom left corner of your desktop, select the looking glass to start a search.
- Type Control Panel to locate the application, then open it.
- Select Programs and Features.
- On the list provided, locate the software you shall uninstall.
- Select it, then select Uninstall.
- Observe the Remove existing settings dialog box.
- Do not select any check boxes!
- Select Uninstall in the dialog box to remove the software.
- Follow the instructions provided by the wizard.
- Click the [X] in the top right corner to close the Control Panel.
- If applicable: Disconnect the keyboard and the mouse from the Processor Unit.
