Transceiver On/Off dialog box

The Transceiver On/Off dialog box permits you to start, stop and restart the Transceiver Unit. You can also use this dialog box to monitor the start-up sequence.

How to open

The Transceiver On/Off dialog opens automatically when you turn on the ST90 system. You can also open the dialog box double-clicking the Transceiver indicator on the bottom bar.

Description

The Transceiver On/Off dialog opens automatically when you turn on the ST90 system. It stays open during the start-up sequence, and closes when the ST90 system is fully operational. While the dialog box is open you can use it to monitor the start-up sequence.

The circular indicator offers the overall status of the start-up sequence and the Transceiver Unit.

No colour: The Transceiver Unit is turned off.
Green (flashing): The Transceiver Unit starts. This is the expected behaviour if you have selected Start or Restart.
Green: The Transceiver Unit is turned on and operates normally.
Yellow (flashing): The Transceiver Unit does not respond as expected. Observe the error messages for more information.
Red: The Transceiver Unit does not start or restart successfully. Observe the error messages for more information.

Tip:

If you experience problems during the start-up sequence, the dialog offers a good source for troubleshooting. Try to open Advanced and select Restart. The circular indicator is also shown on the bottom bar.

Additional information is available if you select Advanced.

Transducer position

The graphic presentation illustrates the transducer's current physical position relative to the hull unit. The presentation allows for easy determination of the transducer status. The illustration uses symbols and colours to convey the information.

A blue circle depicts the normal situation with the transducer hoisted, lowered, or in a middle position.
A blue triangle depicts that the transducer moves up or down.
A red triangle shows that the transducer and hull unit do not communicate with the ST90 system.

Details

Debug (Debug messages): This text field presents the information exchanged between the Transceiver Unit and Power Supply Unit Controller. The information is intended for debugging purposes and to monitoring the power on/off sequences. Select Advanced to access this feature.
Select Clear Debug Messages to remove all the messages in the Debug box.
Error (Error messages): All error messages related to starting and stopping the Transceiver Unit are shown. Select Advanced to access this feature.
Start: Select Start to start the Transceiver Unit. Select Advanced to access this feature.
Restart: Select Restart to restart the Transceiver Unit. Select Advanced to access this feature.
Stop: Select Stop to stop the Transceiver Unit. Select Advanced to access this feature.
Enabled: Deselect Enable to disable the functionality offered by the dialog box.
